Senior OT Operations Support Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior OT (Operational Technology) Operations Support Manager to lead OT infrastructure, manufacturing systems, and operational support activities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, cybersecurity, compliance, and continuous improvement of OT platforms supporting production, packaging, utilities, laboratory systems, and plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OT operations and support teams.

• Ensure availability and reliability of MES, SCADA, PLC, DCS and automation systems.

• Lead incident resolution, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Manage system upgrades, patching and maintenance.

• Implement OT cybersecurity controls and monitor system health.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, GxP, CSV and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.

• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, IT, Validation and Digital Transformation teams.

• Manage OT vendors and service providers.

• Mentor OT support engineers and drive continuous improvement.

Required Technical Experience

• 8–10 years in OT Operations, Industrial Automation or Manufacturing Systems Support.

• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing OT support teams and/or vendors.

• MES: Werum PAS-X, PharmaSuite, Syncade or Opcenter.

• SCADA / HMI systems.

• PLCs: Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider.

• DCS: DeltaV, PCS7 or Honeywell.

• OSIsoft PI Historian.

• OT infrastructure: Windows Server / VMware.

• Industrial networking and OT network support.

• OPC, MQTT and industrial communication protocols.

• OT Cybersecurity / IEC 62443 fundamentals.

• ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management.

Industry Experience

Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology or other regulated manufacturing environments is required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• ITIL

• ISA/IEC 62443

• PMP / PRINCE2

• CISSP / GICSP or equivalent OT Security certification

• VMware / Microsoft Server certifications
