Senior OutSystems Developer

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior OutSystems Developer with strong expertise in OutSystems application development, integrations, and database design/development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable enterprise applications using the OutSystems Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) platform and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, architecture understanding, and mentoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using the OutSystems platform.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Convert complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories.

Integration & Database Management

• Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Develop and optimize database structures, queries, stored procedures, and data models.
• Ensure seamless integration between OutSystems applications and backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks related to integrations and databases.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Coordinate with multiple teams including Business, UX/UI, Backend Development, Architecture, and QA.
• Support end-to-end delivery of technical components across internal and external teams.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, design reviews, and release activities.

Quality & Best Practices

• Define, maintain, and support development environments following OutSystems best practices.
• Ensure code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing are completed effectively.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Drive application performance, security, and maintainability improvements.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support across projects.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Recommend modern development practices, tools, and frameworks specific to OutSystems.
• Support architectural decisions and solution design discussions.

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of overall application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in OutSystems Development.
• Extensive experience in System Integrations and Database Technologies.
• Experience working with REST APIs, Web Services, and Microservices.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience leading development activities and mentoring team members.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
