Our engineers build with AI as a matter of course, from our AWS and OutSystems foundations to our dedicated AI-native engineering hub in Ho Chi Minh City: the AI-First Hub this role joins. We build mission-critical software for our clients. Our work spans custom core systems, mobile apps, legacy modernisation, and agentic AI and automation.

What you will do...

This role sits in our AI-First Innovation Hub: squads where agents carry the delivery volume and people direct, review and own the calls that matter. The toolchain itself is AI-powered: an agentic code-generation pipeline, AI-assisted modernisation tooling and AI-native product features, all on a single Source of Truth with human gates wherever work touches production. We are hiring a Senior OutSystems Developer to design, build and ship native mobile apps. You will own features end to end: data model, offline sync, native plugins, integrations, store builds and production support.

Mobile Delivery

• Build native mobile applications in OutSystems 11, from user stories through to production release.
• Design offline-first features, including local storage entities, synchronization patterns (read-only, last-write-wins, conflict detection), and OfflineDataSync flows.
• Manage online and offline application states clearly, ensuring users understand what is saved locally and what has been synchronized.
• Integrate and configure native device capabilities, including camera, barcode scanning, geolocation, maps, biometrics, file handling, and push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Optimize application performance on real devices through effective use of screen lifecycle events, client-side versus server-side actions, aggregate fetch strategies, and minimal server round-trips

Architecture and Integration

• Follow the 4-Layer Canvas architecture and maintain clean module dependencies.
• Consume and expose REST and SOAP APIs with appropriate authentication (OAuth 2.0 / JWT), error handling, and retry mechanisms.
• Implement third-party integrations with SaaS platforms and legacy systems.
• Develop efficient aggregates and advanced SQL queries for large datasets, incorporating appropriate indexing and pagination.
• Apply security-by-design principles, including role-based access control, Single Sign-On (SSO), secure local storage, and secure integrations.

Quality Assurance and Production Support

• Review AI agent-generated code and participate in peer code reviews to ensure alignment with OutSystems best practices.
• Manage Mobile Apps Build Service (MABS) builds, including signing certificates, provisioning profiles, keystores, and build troubleshooting.
• Support QA testing and resolve defects across development, testing, and production environments.
• Debug applications on physical devices using native IDE tools and remote web inspectors.
• Provide production support for mobile applications, investigate incidents and plugin or build-related issues, and implement root-cause fixes.

Team Collaboration and Delivery

• Follow OutSystems development best practices, coding standards, and team conventions.
• Participate in requirements gathering and design review sessions with Business Analysts (BAs) and client stakeholders.
• Provide effort estimates, proactively identify risks, and recommend solutions to the Technical Lead and Product Owner.
• Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles, and reusable components to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Who you are...

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience, including at least 3 years working with OutSystems 11 Reactive Web and Mobile.
• Strong understanding of OutSystems architecture patterns and application performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cordova plugins, including on-device debugging.
• Experience with Mobile Apps Build Service (MABS), including resolving signing certificate and provisioning issues.
• Solid knowledge of OutSystems architecture principles, including the 4-Layer Canvas, dependency management, and LifeTime deployment.
• At least one current OutSystems 11 certification, such as Associate Mobile Developer or Reactive Developer.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS within OutSystems, including JavaScript nodes, client-side APIs, OutSystems UI patterns, and theme customization.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and schema design, with advanced SQL experience in production environments, preferably SQL Server or Oracle.
• Experience developing, integrating, and supporting REST and SOAP APIs, including OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication.
• Knowledge of GraphQL is an advantage.
• Experience identifying and resolving cross-browser and cross-device compatibility issues.

Education and Communication

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and distributed teams.
