About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to join an active in-house legal team supporting a prominent real estate asset and property management group.

In this role, you will report directly to the General Counsel, providing broad legal and governance support across corporate entities, real estate transactions, litigation, human resources, and general operational compliance. • Prepare written consents for election of directors/officers, distribution resolutions, and other corporate governance documents.
  • Assist with real estate leases, property management agreements, acquisitions, financings, due diligence, and transactional closings.
  • Support entity membership interest transfers and conduct legal research.

Litigation Management:

  • Coordinate with outside counsel and internal teams throughout all stages of litigation, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Manage the discovery process: document collection, retention, production (including Bates stamping), employee interviews, data analysis, and drafting discovery responses.

Employment & HR Support:

  • Draft and update employment agreements based on template forms.
  • Assist with quarterly labor law practice audits.
  • Partner with HR to draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and employee acknowledgments.

General Legal Support & Compliance:

  • Review, redline, and draft contracts, correspondence, and lease forms under supervision.
  • Track permit, license, and registration compliance across operations.
  • Monitor changes to relevant laws and regulations, delivering summary reports to leadership.

Department Operations:

  • Oversee legal department calendars, deadlines, budgets, and invoice reviews.
  • Organize and maintain digital files (SharePoint) and physical records.
  • Assist with continuous process improvement within the legal function.

Qualifications

  • Education & Credentials: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal/Legal Studies, Paralegal Certificate, or Bachelor’s degree in Business/related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably with exposure to a large law firm or fast-paced in-house environment.
  • Corporate Knowledge: Strong foundation in corporate governance, including familiarity with California corporate, LLC, and partnership requirements.
  • Litigation & Real Estate: Solid understanding of real estate terms and transaction workflow; hands-on litigation discovery experience strongly preferred.
  • Tech Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word with redlining/document comparison, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Planner), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and web-based research tools.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and the ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.

  • Competitive salary ($70K – $110K) based on experience
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
  • Paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, sick time, and floating holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching
