  • Experience supporting payroll processing in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict weekly deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees, internal departments, and external partners.

Preferred Experience

  • Union payroll experience.
  • Experience with certified payroll and union fringe reporting.
  • Experience working with eCMS or similar payroll/ERP systems.
  • Experience with payroll garnishments, unemployment reporting, VOEs, and payroll audits.
  • Experience working with project-based, construction, manufacturing, or similar payroll environments.

Work Environment This position primarily operates in a professional office environment but may require occasional travel to company offices, fabrication shops, warehouses, maintenance facilities, or project sites. Depending on the location, appropriate personal protective equipment may be required.

The position may occasionally require lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

The company provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities in accordance with applicable law.

What I changed: I consolidated repetitive compliance language, moved the most searchable payroll keywords higher in the posting, separated required qualifications from preferred experience, and emphasized union payroll, certified payroll, eCMS, Excel, garnishments, unemployment, and weekly payroll processing so the posting is easier for both candidates and job-board search algorithms to understand.
