Senior Payroll Specialist

Summary :

An established Cork based pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Systems Specialist to join its HR team on a permanent basis. This is a senior, hands-on role combining payroll expertise with HR systems, reporting and data management.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and validate weekly and monthly payrolls, ensuring accurate processing of overtime, shift-related payments and other payroll variables.
• Manage and maintain employee data across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Act as a key payroll and HR systems SME, troubleshooting issues and supporting system enhancements and process improvements.
• Produce and analyse payroll/HR reports, reconciliations and data, identifying discrepancies and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Provide a high-quality service to employees and stakeholders, resolving payroll, payslip and systems-related queries while liaising with the external payroll provider.

Requirements:

• Significant hands-on Irish payroll experience, ideally including complex weekly/hourly payrolls within a manufacturing or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience working with payroll, HRIS and/or Time & Attendance systems; the ability to quickly learn new systems is essential.
• Advanced Excel, reporting and data-analysis skills, with a strong systems and process-improvement mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills, with the experience and confidence to hit the ground running in a senior specialist role
