About the Role
ZONEFLY CO., LTD. designs sovereign, full-stack autonomous UAV systems for civil and defense missions. The Senior PCB Designer engineers complex multilayer, RF, and power boards under minimal supervision. Defense and civil operators depend on hardware reliability in critical environments. Therefore, this role requires translating system requirements into 6–12 layer controlled-impedance layouts, executing direct fabrication collaboration, and passing EMC compliance tests.
Operating with high autonomy, the designer collaborates with firmware engineers and ZONEFLY'S R&D Department to deliver first-pass-right hardware for volume production.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Speed Multilayer Design: Architect 6–12 layer RK3588 compute carrier boards in Altium, optimizing stack-ups and routing DDR, MIPI, and PCIe interfaces with controlled impedance.
• RF & Signal Integrity: Route low-noise 2.4/5.8 GHz, LTE, and GNSS front-ends using precise grounding, plane partitioning, and shielding to prevent EMI degradation.
• High-Power & Drive Systems: Engineer >30A power distribution boards, DC-DC rails, and BMS protection circuits with robust thermal dissipation channels for motor ESCs.
• DFM & Yield Optimization: Negotiate stack-ups and panelization directly with fabs, applying strict DFM/DFA/DFT rules to maximize yield and lower unit costs at volume.
• Validation & EMC Compliance: Validate boards on the bench using spectrum analyzers and VNAs, driving pre-compliance EMC testing until hardware is flight-proven.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of professional PCB design experience delivering shipped hardware products.
• Technical Mastery: Expertise in Altium Designer, 6–12 layer HDI boards, high-speed routing, high-current power distribution (>30A), and RF front-ends (at least one of 2.4/5.8 GHz, LTE, or GNSS).
• Manufacturing & Test: Hands-on fab collaboration executing DFM/DFA/DFT rules, EMC pre-compliance testing, and bench instruments (oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer).
• Languages & Mobility: Fluent English, based in (or willing to relocate to) Bangkok HQ.
• Nice-to-Have: BSc/MSc in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; public portfolio, open hardware, or GitHub showing real boards; rigid-flex design; SI/PI simulation (HyperLynx, Ansys SIwave, Polar Si9000) and RF simulation (ADS, HFSS); aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810); bare-metal C firmware bring-up; or SEA supply chain expertise.
