Senior Perception Engineer - 3D Vision / LiDAR

I'm working with a well-funded Series B robotics company building autonomous mobile robots for complex industrial environments.

Their technology allows robots to move materials and equipment autonomously through facilities that weren't originally designed for automation. Rather than following fixed routes in highly controlled environments, the robots need to understand what's happening around them and adapt in real time.

That's why perception is such an important part of what they're building.

They're looking for a Senior Perception Engineer to work across 3D perception, object detection and tracking, point-cloud processing and multimodal sensor fusion using cameras, LiDAR and other sensors.

They're looking for someone with a good mix of:

• Strong C++ and Python
• 3D Computer Vision / point-cloud processing
• LiDAR and/or camera-based perception
• Object detection, segmentation and/or tracking
• PyTorch or similar deep-learning frameworks
• Experience deploying perception onto real-world systems
• Robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones or another Physical AI environment

Useful but not essential:

• Sensor fusion
• CUDA / GPU optimization
• ROS / ROS2
• Calibration
• SLAM / localization
• Experience taking systems from prototype through to production

You don't necessarily need to have spent your whole career in robotics. Someone coming from AV, drones or another environment where you've deployed perception into the physical world could work really well.

The technology works and is already being deployed, so you're not betting on a PowerPoint and an idea. At the same time, it's still early enough that you'll have a genuine say in how the perception stack develops.

There's also plenty of room for the position to grow towards Staff/Principal as the team expands.

$190k–$260k base + equity + benefits + relocation available (US only)
