About the Opportunity

Willan Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Senior Performance Test Architect (NeoLoad) to lead enterprise-wide performance engineering and load testing initiatives for a large-scale digital transformation program.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in NeoLoad, SAP performance testing, enterprise application architecture, workload modeling, and performance optimization .

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity requiring the ability to establish performance engineering strategies, guide testing teams, identify scalability risks, and ensure enterprise applications meet critical performance and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Engineering Strategy & Leadership

• Define and lead the enterprise performance engineering and load testing strategy.
• Establish performance testing standards, methodologies, governance, and best practices.
• Lead performance testing initiatives across complex enterprise applications and integrated platforms.
• Define non-functional requirements (NFRs), service level objectives (SLOs), SLAs, and performance acceptance criteria.
• Develop realistic workload models based on production metrics, transaction volumes, and anticipated business growth.
• Lead performance planning throughout the software development lifecycle, including SIT, UAT, Go-Live, and Hypercare.

Enterprise Application & SAP Performance Testing

• Architect and oversee performance testing across:

  • SAP BRIM and SAP Convergent Mediation (CM)
  • SAP S/4HANA and SAP Datasphere
  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Customer Engagement
  • REST/SOAP APIs and middleware
  • Enterprise integrations and event-driven systems
  • Batch processing and financial transactions
  • Customer-facing web portals and mobile applications
  • IVR and chatbot platforms

• Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and failover testing strategies.

• Review performance test plans, scripts, workload models, and execution schedules.

NeoLoad Architecture & Automation

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and administration of NeoLoad as an enterprise performance testing platform.
• Develop reusable performance testing frameworks, scripting standards, and automation strategies.
• Establish automated performance regression testing for major application releases.
• Build performance dashboards, metrics, and executive-level reports.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Analyze application response times, throughput, API latency, database performance, JVM metrics, and infrastructure utilization.
• Identify application bottlenecks, scalability limitations, and infrastructure constraints.
• Lead root-cause analysis involving SAP, CRM, middleware, database, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Recommend application tuning, database optimization, infrastructure scaling, and capacity planning improvements.
• Validate system performance and production readiness before deployment.

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Provide technical direction and mentorship to performance testing teams.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate performance risks, findings, and recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, testing reports, architectural diagrams, and performance analysis.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall IT experience.
• 8+ years of enterprise performance engineering and load testing experience.
• 5+ years leading enterprise performance testing initiatives.
• Expert-level hands-on experience with NeoLoad.
• Proven experience designing performance testing architectures for enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong experience with SAP BRIM, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Convergent Mediation, SAP Datasphere, CRM platforms, APIs, middleware, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience developing production workload models using historical metrics.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, scalability architecture, and performance engineering principles.
• Expertise in stress, endurance, spike, failover, API, middleware, and batch performance testing.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure performance monitoring and diagnostics.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• NeoLoad certification.
• AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise modernization or digital transformation programs.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Location & Engagement Requirements

• Work Model: Primarily remote, with mandatory onsite attendance in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
• Onsite Requirement: Approximately one week per month, based on the project schedule.
• Preferred Location: Harrisburg, Middletown, or surrounding Pennsylvania areas.
• Candidates must reside within the continental United States.
• Additional onsite participation may be required for architecture workshops, planning sessions, testing milestones, Go-Live, and post-production support.
• Candidates must be willing to attend in-person interviews or work sessions when required.
• Successful completion of required background checks is mandatory.
