Senior Petroleum Engineer

Reports To: Field Manager

Location: Field Site, Ras Ghareb

Key Responsibilities of the Role Include:

To optimize field production and injection performance, oversee well interventions and workover activities, and ensure efficient and safe petroleum operations. The Senior Petroleum Engineer plays a key role in monitoring well performance, implementing well integrity management, troubleshooting operational issues, and supporting continuous production improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and optimize production and injection performance to maximize well efficiency.
• Plan, recommend, and follow up on well interventions, workovers, and production enhancement activities.
• Conduct well surveillance, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to address operational issues.
• Monitor water injection processes, chemical treatments, and artificial lift systems.
• Ensure implementation of well integrity management (WIM) and compliance with HSE standards.
• Oversee field operations, equipment performance, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and service companies to ensure safe and efficient execution of field activities.
• Prepare and analyze daily and monthly production reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in field petroleum operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of production optimization, well interventions, artificial lift, and well surveillance.
• Knowledge of well integrity management and HSE requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
