Senior Physical Trader

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with banks, mutual funds, ETFs, and institutional sellers of silver to ensure consistent sourcing channels.
• Lead the sale of silver to various market participants, including bullion traders, jewellers, and industrial users, while expanding the company's customer base.
• Maintain a strong on-ground presence in major bullion markets and develop informal intelligence networks to track real-time market dynamics.
• Execute physical buy and sell transactions aligned with company profitability targets, identifying arbitrage opportunities as they arise.
• Lead and guide the trading team, providing market insights and supporting the development of the company's trading strategy.
• Engage clients through regular meetings and networking events, retaining priority customers and onboarding new trading relationships.
• Monitor and benchmark competitor pricing and strategies, providing insights for demand forecasting and pricing strategy.
• Ensure strict adherence to trading guidelines and risk protocols, maintaining ethical dealings and transparent communication.

Requirements

• 9-12 years of experience in bullion trading, precious metals markets, or banking bullion desks.
• Strong familiarity with physical bullion ecosystems and key market hubs such as Zaveri Bazaar and Ahmedabad Bullion Market.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a network across traders, jewellers, brokers, banks, and institutional market participants.
• Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, coupled with a disciplined trading mindset.
• High energy, street-smart with strong commercial instincts, and willingness to spend time in the market ecosystem.
• Entrepreneurial thinking with strong accountability and ethical standards.
