Senior Planner

The Senior Planner oversees production and material planning activities, monitors the planning team, and coordinates production schedules, material availability, inventory, and capacity to ensure smooth operations and timely customer fulfillment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, create work orders, and schedule raw materials such as PET resin, PP resin, cartons, plastic bags, and other materials based on production forecasts, sales orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging materials to prevent stockouts, production interruptions, and overstocking.
• Prepare and provide production schedules to the Production Department and monitor progress against the planned schedule.
• Monitor and supervise the planning team to ensure daily planning activities, material requirements, work orders, and production schedules are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with team members to resolve material shortages, production schedule changes, urgent orders, machine breakdowns, and customer rescheduling requirements.
• Monitor material usage and inventory status to minimize obsolete, slow-moving, and expired materials through effective material lifecycle tracking.
• Issue purchase requisitions and work closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure materials are ordered and delivered according to the required production schedule.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth production and material flow.
• Monitor customer demand, stock levels, and inventory movements; perform regular inventory reconciliation to maintain optimal inventory levels and turnover.
• Support audits and documentation related to planning department.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material planning or supply chain in manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging or plastic industry.
• Experience in food packaging or plastic manufacturing will be preferred.
• Knowledge of plastic materials (PET, PP, OPS) and auxiliary materials in extrusion/ thermoforming processes will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in inventory management and production & capacity planning.
• Proficiency in AutoCount systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
