About the role

Henty Gold Mine is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead mine planning activities and provide technical support across underground operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for mine design, production scheduling, forecasting and mentoring the planning team to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture across underground operations
• Develop mine designs, approved plans and production schedules
• Prepare mine forecasts and budget schedules
• Provide technical support to underground mining operations
• Mentor and develop Planning, Production and Graduate Engineers
• Coordinate with Geotechnical and Ventilation Engineers
• Liaise with Geology, Survey, Technical Services and Operations teams
• Drive continuous improvement in mine planning, scheduling and operational performance

About you

• Degree in Mining Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience
• Strong experience with longhole and development mining methods
• Advanced Deswik mine design and scheduling skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Current Driver's Licence
• Advanced reporting and mine planning software skills highly regarded
• SSE qualifications advantageous
