Senior Planning Engineer – Civil Construction

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Planning Engineer with a strong background in Civil Construction to join our team in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within the approved timeframes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs and ensure timely updates in accordance with project requirements.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays, critical activities, and potential risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend appropriate mitigation and recovery measures.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to maintain project schedule targets.
• Prepare recovery and catch-up schedules for delayed works.
• Review subcontractor and supplier programs and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Monitor project milestones, key deliverables, and planned versus actual progress.
• Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and related planning documentation.
• Provide accurate project forecasts and highlight potential schedule risks to management.
• Support the project team in achieving planned progress and timely project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the UAE.
• Strong experience in Civil Construction projects is mandatory.
• Proven hands-on experience in Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, project controls, and progress monitoring.
• Experience in critical path analysis, delay analysis, recovery planning, and EOT claims.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Candidates available to join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.

Pay: From AED10,000.00 per month
