Senior Planning Engineer

Role Description The Senior Planning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Rawang. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure realistic timelines and resource allocation. Daily tasks include preparing and updating work programs, monitoring progress against plans, analyzing variances, and recommending corrective actions to keep projects on track. The Senior Planning Engineer will oversee production planning aspects, support project control activities, and prepare regular reports on project status, risks, and forecasts. The role also involves participating in coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication of planning data, and contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in Infra and bridge works at least 5-7 years.
• Strong planning and production planning skills, with experience creating and managing detailed project schedules.
• Solid analytical skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and propose effective solutions for delays or resource constraints.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and management, and to present clear planning reports.
• Experience in project control, including progress monitoring, reporting, and cost or resource tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in a planning or project control role within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and standard office applications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
