Senior Planning Engineer – High-Rise Building Project

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our project team for a high-rise building project in the UAE.

The role will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling the project programme, identifying delays and risks, and supporting the project team with recovery plans and accurate progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project baseline programmes using Primavera P6.
• Prepare master programmes, look-ahead schedules, recovery programmes, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor actual progress against planned progress and identify potential delays.
• Conduct critical path analysis and highlight programme risks to project leadership.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and project forecasts.
• Coordinate with construction, commercial, procurement, design, and MEP teams to ensure programme alignment.
• Track key milestones, approvals, procurement activities, subcontractor progress, and site constraints.
• Support preparation and assessment of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
• Develop corrective and recovery plans where progress is behind schedule.
• Ensure planning data is accurate and reflects actual site conditions and project performance.
• Participate in project progress meetings and provide programme updates to management, consultants, and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of construction planning experience.
• Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects.
• Proven UAE/GCC construction experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and project scheduling techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology, resource planning, and progress measurement.
• Experience in delay analysis, recovery planning, and EOT preparation.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with site teams and translate actual construction progress into accurate project schedules.

Preferred Experience

Candidates who have worked on high-rise projects with established main contractors in the UAE will be preferred.
