An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join a major organisation delivering a diverse portfolio of complex capital works, development and infrastructure projects.

This role will play a key part in driving project planning, programme development and delivery across the full project lifecycle, from concept design and documentation through to tendering, construction and final handover.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors, you will ensure projects are delivered in line with approved scope, programme, budget and quality expectations, while minimising disruption to ongoing business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the planning and delivery of multiple complex capital works, development and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, maintain and monitor integrated project programmes from initial concept and approval through to construction and handover.
• Analyse contractor programmes, identify critical paths, assess potential risks and recommend strategies to improve programme performance.
• Monitor project progress against agreed milestones, budgets and quality standards, providing clear and timely reporting to key stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers to coordinate activities and resolve delivery challenges.
• Support the development of project budgets and cost plans from early design stages through to delivery.
• Oversee site planning, establishment, coordination and health and safety requirements throughout construction.
• Coordinate project interfaces with operational teams to minimise disruption to business activities.
• Ensure the successful delivery of project finishes, furniture, fixtures, equipment and other stakeholder requirements.
• Promote compliance with organisational policies, procedures and relevant health and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and uphold high standards of programme management across project teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are an experienced planning or project delivery professional with a strong background in complex construction projects, including major fit-outs, capital works and infrastructure. You bring a proactive approach to programme management, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to identify and address potential project delays before they impact delivery.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• Extensive experience delivering multiple complex construction projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
• A strong understanding of construction methodologies, project sequencing and programme management.
• Proven experience managing and reviewing programmes developed by contractors across a range of project sizes and complexities.
• Advanced knowledge of critical path analysis, programme logic, dependencies and project scheduling.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors and project interfaces concurrently.
• Strong technical capability, communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project .
• Experience working with contractors ranging from Tier 1 through to Tier 3.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Approximately 10 years' experience in construction and the delivery of major projects, including fit-out works.
• A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
