Senior Platform Engineer

TCS is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to support enterprise transformation, technology delivery, and operational excellence within a global financial services environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of cloud and data platform services. The role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, platform engineering, automation, observability, and production support to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Own platform stability, reliability, security, and performance across AWS and Azure environments.
• Lead Kubernetes and container platform operations, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Support enterprise data platforms including Databricks, dbt, Airflow, and workload orchestration tools.
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and platform improvements.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation solutions.
• Enhance platform observability, monitoring, alerting, and service reliability metrics.
• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, backup validation, and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices and governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Enterprise Production Support.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms .
• Experience supporting Databricks, dbt, Apache Airflow, and enterprise data platforms .
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell .
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor .
• Knowledge of security, IAM/RBAC, compliance, disaster recovery, and platform governance.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Incident Management, and Change Management .
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
