Role: Senior Platform Engineer

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Salary $200k–$275k + Equity

I’m working with a VC-backed NYC start-up looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure and developer platform behind a rapidly scaling product.

This is a hands-on senior IC role where you’ll influence architecture, improve engineering velocity and own critical production infrastructure.

What you’ll work on:

• AWS cloud architecture and production infrastructure
• Kubernetes & Docker
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• CI/CD and developer tooling
• Observability, monitoring and incident response
• Distributed systems
• Networking and security
• PostgreSQL and data infrastructure
• Reliability, scalability and performance
• Building internal tooling and platform services
• Establishing infrastructure standards and engineering best practices

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps or SRE background
• Experience owning production infrastructure at scale
• Deep knowledge of AWS and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong Kubernetes and containerisation experience
• Experience building tooling that improves developer productivity
• Understanding of distributed systems, networking and observability
• Comfortable making architectural decisions and owning projects end-to-end
• Experience within a start-up or high-growth environment is highly desirable
