Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Microservices Architecture , Contract Testing , and Cloud Infrastructure Automation . This role will work closely with application development teams to establish and scale contract testing practices across microservices ecosystems while driving platform engineering best practices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Contract Testing, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), AWS CDK, Terraform, and Trunk-Based Development , along with a strong understanding of modern software delivery and cloud-native architectures.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring the ability to influence engineering teams, improve software quality, and enable faster, safer deployments across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Testing & Microservices Enablement

• Lead the implementation and adoption of contract testing frameworks across microservices.
• Partner with development teams to establish consumer-driven contract testing practices.
• Improve service reliability by validating API contracts early in the development lifecycle.
• Define standards and best practices for inter-service communication and testing.
• Drive quality engineering initiatives across distributed systems.

Microservices Architecture

• Design, review, and optimize large-scale microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with application architects and engineering teams to improve scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Identify and resolve service integration challenges.
• Promote event-driven and domain-oriented architectural patterns.

Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to apply Domain-Driven Design principles.
• Define service boundaries and domain models.
• Support bounded context identification and implementation.
• Drive alignment between business domains and technical architecture.

Infrastructure as Code & Platform Engineering

• Build and maintain infrastructure using AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and deployment frameworks.
• Enable self-service platform capabilities for development teams.
• Support cloud-native environments and containerized workloads.

Software Delivery & DevOps

• Champion trunk-based development practices.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Enable rapid and reliable software releases.
• Establish engineering guardrails and platform standards.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps experience.
• Strong expertise in Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience implementing Contract Testing using tools such as:
• Pact
• Spring Cloud Contract
• Consumer-Driven Contract Testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of:
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Service boundaries
• API governance
• Event-driven architectures
• Experience with:
• AWS CDK
• Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines
• Git-based workflows
• Strong knowledge of:
• Cloud-native application development
• Containerization (Docker)
• Kubernetes/EKS
• API integrations
• Experience with Trunk-Based Development methodologies.
