Senior Platform Engineer - NBA

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - NBA to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

In this role, you will help maintain and evolve a critical technology platform that supports reliable, scalable operations in a healthcare environment. You will work closely with engineering partners and operational stakeholders to improve system health, strengthen visibility, and deliver enhancements that support performance and resilience. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys solving production challenges, building robust services, and driving continuous improvement across a platform.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $106,900 – $147,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support services across the platform
• Monitor platform health and resolve production issues proactively
• Design and implement features and enhancements for system components
• Extend observability frameworks for better production visibility
• Profile and tune platform components for performance and scale
• Write tests and participate in code reviews to maintain standards
• Engage in incident response and lead root-cause analysis

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and asynchronous processing
• Hands-on experience with observability practices such as logging and metrics
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as Azure or equivalent, and CI/CD
• Focus on operational health with well-documented code standards
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to varied audiences
