Senior Platform Engineer - Snowflake + AWS

Senior Platform Engineer - Snowflake + AWS

Contract | Fully remote | £600 - £700 Outside IR35

3 months to start, likely to extend, with the option to go permanent

My client needs a senior engineer to help shape the Snowflake platform its data teams build on.

This isn’t a data products role. You’ll work on the platform itself: the self-service capabilities, automation, security and governance that let teams ship data products safely and quickly. The platform is already live, and the job is making it better.

You’ll most likely join the squad focused on data sharing, making an internal data marketplace work across a large estate of Snowflake accounts. You’ll also automate the build of data products, replace slow manual processes with reusable ones, and work out the approach when a team asks for something nobody has done before.

What they’re looking for:

Significant hands-on Snowflake platform experience: account and warehouse management, RBAC, data sharing, security and cost controls

Terraform and CI/CD for Snowflake and AWS

You’ve built or improved a self-service data platform that other engineers use

You don’t wait for a ticket: part engineer, part analyst, part product thinker

Nice to have: Snowflake internal marketplace, Immuta, Collibra or BigID.

Fully remote, with the odd on-site workshop. One or two interview stages.
