Senior Platform Software Engineer

Role Description

• Lead the design and delivery of small-to-medium-sized application platform features, including appropriate metrics, monitoring, paging, integration pattern

• Define clear success metrics & achieve those metrics reliably & consistently post-launch & through life cycle of the system

• Analyze patterns in incidents and identify improvements needed in how we operate and design the platform.

• Regular sharing sessions are organized within the center or IT-wide

• Mentorships are provided to junior members of the center when assigned.

• Develop process/guide/workshop/training other devops engineers /other team for share knowledge, experience realy for Platform Technology/IT areas

• Optimize service onboarding processes and expand self-service capabilities in the developer portal catalog to improve platform adoption, operational efficiency and user experience

• Proactively identify new opportunities and advocate for and implement improvements to the current state of projects — potentially having broader business impact across teams or products

Qualifications

1. Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

2. Relevant Knowledge/ Expertise

• Strong programming experience in one or more languages, preferably Java or Python, Go and Javascript.

• Strong knowledge of service integration and distributed systems, including API integration, service-to-service communication, messaging, RPC, and service discovery.

• Experience with CI/CD workflows and DevOps toolchains such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Nexus, Artifactory, ArgoCD, Keycloak or equivalent.

• Experience with cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) including Terraform, Crossplane, CDK on various cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, GCP, local cloud provider.

• Strong experience with container platforms and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes, Docker, or wideknown K8s distro such as OpenShift.

• Experience developing reusable SDKs, libraries, modules, frameworks, APIs, or platform components.

• Strong understanding of networking, security, distributed systems, and application runtime environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing integration platforms and reusable integration capabilities, including API governance, authentication, security, reliability, and scalability.

• Experience with platform automation, developer workflows, and application onboarding.

• Experience with open-source technologies and contribution, including developing, extending, integrating, or contributing to open-source projects.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability, including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and platform/application health.

• Experience with configuration, testing, release management, and automated quality or vulnarable controls.

3. Skills

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills, with a solid understanding of DevSecOps and Agile practices.

• Ability to evaluate new technologies and build scalable, standardized, and reusable platform capabilities, while mentoring engineers and contributing to technical standards.

• Strong collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work well as part of the team.

• Be able to catch up and manage works quickly and effectively

• Be able to work independently with high pressure, good in teamwork

• Careful, responsible, and secure in protecting information/data belong to Bank

• Good knowledge of risk management principles, methodology and practice

• Good in English communication

4. Relevant Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical roles.

• Vietnamese candidates are preferred for this position.
