About Company

Tsavorite Scalable Intelligence is building a new foundation for AI computing. We design silicon, systems, and software that work as one, bringing together general-purpose processing, AI acceleration, and scalable memory in a single architecture. From edge devices to data centers, our goal is to make advanced AI more powerful, efficient, and accessible.

Our founding team has a track record of shipping the highest performance silicon and we have engineering teams in the US and India. We are looking for curious, driven people across disciplines who want to turn ambitious engineering into real products and help shape how the world computes.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Firmware Engineer to design and own the supervisor software running on the embedded control cores integrated into our AI accelerator SoCs. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, deep familiarity with configurable-core embedded processor architectures and toolchains, low-level firmware development, and real-time/embedded systems expertise, with ownership spanning boot, power and clock management, inter-core communication, and runtime supervision of AI Core compute.

Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Experience in embedded/firmware software development, with demonstrated ownership of supervisor, RTOS, or bare-metal software for a configurable embedded processor core.
  • Expert-level C/C++ skills; comfort working close to hardware (registers, interrupts, memory-mapped I/O) without an underlying OS.
  • Experience with configurable-core processor toolchains (e.g., custom DSP/embedded core generators and compiler toolchains) and cross-compilation for bare-metal targets.
  • Familiarity with security-relevant firmware concepts is a plus.

What You'll Drive & Bring to the Role

  • Architect and implement supervisor-level firmware for the AI accelerator's embedded control cores, owning boot sequencing, initialization, and handoff into steady-state operation.
  • Drive the design of privileged supervisor firmware that brings up, schedules, monitors, and recovers the embedded compute engines within the chiplet, coordinating closely with ARM Application Core software, the hardware Root of Trust, and the broader TAOS software stack, while collaborating with hardware, DV, and security architecture teams.
  • Design runtime supervision functions: task/workload dispatch to AI Core compute engines, scheduling policy, resource arbitration, and graceful error/fault handling.
  • Deep level of understanding of hardware architecture and implementations of high end micro controllers.
  • Own power and clock management sequencing for the embedded control cores, including low-power states, throttling response, and coordination with platform-level power policy.
  • Define and implement inter-core communication paths between embedded control core supervisor firmware, CPU Cores, and other chiplet SubSystems (shared memory, mailboxes/queues, interrupts).
  • Drive bring-up support on emulation/simulation platforms and on silicon, debugging supervisor firmware issues from earliest bring-up through production.
  • Build and maintain firmware-level diagnostics, logging, and telemetry hooks that support health monitoring and post-silicon debug efforts.
  • Represent the supervisor software domain in cross-functional design reviews, influencing embedded core configuration and hardware/software interface decisions upstream.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MS preferred).
  • 7 to 15 years of work experience.

Why Join Us?

  • Own. Innovate. Make an Impact. Join a talented team building next-generation compute solutions and working on cutting-edge technology. Take ownership, collaborate with great engineers, grow your skills, and make an impact in a culture that values innovation and teamwork.
