I’m working with a large commercial general contractor seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager in Kansas City. They’re looking for someone who brings strong technical estimating experience and genuinely enjoys leading people, building client relationships, and helping win work.

The Role

• Lead conceptual budgets, estimates, proposals, and procurement strategies

• Guide preconstruction teams through estimating and project pursuits

• Build relationships with clients and design partners

• Partner with operations on constructability, risk, and profitability

• Coach and develop other preconstruction professionals

Ideal Background

• Approximately 10 or more years of estimating and preconstruction experience with a large commercial general contractor

• Experience on large, complex projects; projects valued at $200 million or more are especially relevant

• Strength in both hands-on estimating and client-facing preconstruction

• Experience leading teams and mentoring others

• An interest in growing into a Director-level role

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of up to $165,000, depending on experience, plus a target annual performance bonus of 15% and a $700 monthly vehicle allowance. The package also includes generous retirement benefits, and 25 days of combined vacation and personal/health time. Relocation assistance is available.
