Senior Principal Cloud Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will be responsible for designing and architecting secure, scalable cloud solutions that support complex enterprise operations. You will lead technical execution across multi-cloud environments while partnering with engineering teams to strengthen security, identity, and networking capabilities. The position also plays a key role in modernization efforts, operational stability, and the successful delivery of advanced digital engineering initiatives.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $149,469 – $195,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure, scalable multi-cloud solutions
• Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers in multi-classification environments
• Plan and execute deployment of complex digital engineering solutions
• Manage platform security in accordance with various standards
• Implement identity and access management services
• Drive cloud modernization initiatives
• Oversee incident response and operational outages

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture and operations
• US Citizenship required
• Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret
• Proficiency in multi-cloud frameworks across Azure Government and AWS
• Hands-on expertise in identity services and cloud networking
• Experience in digital engineering ecosystems and VDI platforms
• Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring engineering teams
