Senior Principal Data Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Principal Data Architect to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture strategy
• Design scalable data models and integration patterns in AWS and Databricks
• Establish data governance frameworks to ensure compliance
• Communicate data architecture strategies to stakeholders effectively
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies, focusing on AWS-native services
• Lead data architecture in large-scale projects and digital transformations

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or architecture
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for efficient code translation
• Hands-on experience with Databricks Workflows and AWS Glue
• Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
