Senior Process Development Engineer

About the Role

As a Senior Process Development Engineer, you will spearhead the evolution of our production capabilities by designing innovative manufacturing solutions and optimizing complex systems. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, leveraging your expertise in mechanical design and continuous improvement to deliver high-impact results for our production lines.

Responsibilities

• Architect detailed technical specifications for advanced tooling, machinery, and integrated process workflows.
• Execute comprehensive validation protocols and equipment runoff plans to ensure seamless production integration.
• Champion lean manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and drive significant cost improvements.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including scheduling, budget forecasting, and critical path coordination.
• Collaborate with external vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of capital investment projects.
• Facilitate kaizen events and problem-solving workshops to foster a culture of continuous improvement and business growth.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, 2D technical drawing, and mechanical design principles.
• Strong background in process verification, validation, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, open-ended projects.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise in lean methodologies, FMEA, and mistake-proofing techniques.
• Proven track record of managing capital expenditure budgets.
• Excellent technical writing skills for project reporting and documentation.
• Experience with automated manufacturing systems and robotics integration.
