The Role

• Develop and improve MAMMALIAN cell culture processes for growing and producing red blood cells.
• Create formulations that help keep red blood cell products stable and effective.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support quality and regulatory requirements.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure cell lines remain healthy.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Complete risk assessments.
• Help support and train other scientists.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in mammalian cell line research.

What We Are Looking For 1 Minimum of 5 years experience in mammalian cell culture and process development, gained within a Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical setting.

2 Familiarity with laboratory scale bioreactors and downstream filtration systems.

3 Familiarity with analytical techniques related to cell culture.

4 Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

5 Strong understanding and experience of operating to a GMP standard

6 Familiarity with high:throughput screening methods and use of automation.
