Senior Process Engineer I Basic from $4,200

A U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in advanced materials and highly engineered components.

Job description:

1. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for silk screen printing, die-cutting, lamination, assembly, and converting operations.
2. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process parameter development, process validation (IQ, OQ, and PQ), and process capability studies.
3. Troubleshoot production and quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
4. Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and yield while reducing cycle time, scrap, and overall manufacturing costs.
5. Evaluate, test, and qualify new materials, equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
6. Coordinate tooling fabrication, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation, and ERP system configuration.
7. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, as well as safety, environmental, and customer requirements.
8. Support equipment installation and setup, maintenance coordination, and process capability studies.
9. Participate in customer and supplier audits, as well as technical discussions and meetings when required.
10. Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process specifications, and other engineering documentation.

Job requirement:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in mechanical and electronics assembly.
2. Independent, self-motivated, and proactive team player with the ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, with knowledge of GD&T, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans (QCP), and process validation in accordance with ISO 13485 preferred.
4. Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, yield improvement, productivity improvement, and cost reduction is highly preferred.
5. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
