SENIOR PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Process Safety Engineer to support engineering and project activities within the Oil & Gas and/or Energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for process safety engineering activities and ensuring compliance with applicable project requirements, standards, and safety practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (S1/D4) in Chemical Engineering / Teknik Kimia.
• Minimum 10 years of total professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas and/or Energy industry.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the same or equivalent position as a Process Safety Engineer / Senior Process Safety Engineer within the Oil & Gas and/or Energy industry.
• Proven experience working on at least 2 EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation, Commissioning) projects.
• Strong understanding of Process Safety Engineering and relevant industry standards.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering/project teams.
• Able to coordinate effectively with engineering, construction, commissioning, HSE, and other project stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in major EPC/EPCIC Oil & Gas or Energy projects.
• Familiarity with process safety studies and risk assessment activities such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, and QRA.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in a project/site environment as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate Process Safety Engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in and/or lead relevant process safety studies and assessments.
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with process safety requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Support the implementation of process safety requirements during EPCIC execution.
• Ensure project activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, and client requirements.
