Senior Procurement Agent

About the role

Responsible for executing daily purchasing activities to procure commodities and materials required for production operations. The role also involves applying effective negotiation strategies to secure competitive pricing and achieve cost-saving targets while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities to support BCM's strategic needs.
• Ensure commodities and materials are purchased in the right quantity and delivered on time to support operations.
• Make sure all purchasing follows BCM's SOPs and specifications.
• Prepare material plans and generate purchase orders using ordering systems, forecasts, demand reports, and historical usage.
• Resolve issues such as material non-conformance, supplier discrepancies, and shortages.
• Keep material data and pricing accurate and up to date in the system.
• Coordinate transportation with stakeholders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor demand and usage to prevent shortages and supply disruptions.
• Issue RFQs/RFPs and analyze proposals, pricing, and costs.
• Develop and implement supplier strategies through active supplier engagement.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, procurement, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and good analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to review contract terms and support negotiations.
