Senior Procurement Engineer

Procurement & Purchase

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for infrastructure and construction projects.
• Procure construction materials, MEP materials, civil materials, tools, equipment, consumables, and project services.
• Obtain quotations from approved and potential vendors and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and release Purchase Orders / Work Orders in accordance with approved requirements.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with project budgets, specifications, BOQs, and approved technical requirements.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery to project locations.

Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain an updated vendor database and supplier documentation.
• Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, delivery performance, capacity, and reliability.
• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, and commercial issues.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Project, Civil, MEP, Engineering, Stores, Finance, and QA/QC teams to understand material and service requirements.
• Review material requisitions and ensure specifications and quantities are clearly defined before procurement.
• Coordinate with project teams regarding required delivery dates and site priorities.
• Track critical and long-lead materials and escalate potential delays.
• Ensure materials are delivered according to project schedules.

Commercial & Documentation

• Prepare quotation comparisons and procurement proposals for management approval.
• Maintain purchase orders, quotations, comparative statements, invoices, delivery challans, and related procurement records.
• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain procurement MIS and provide regular reports on open POs, pending deliveries, and procurement status.

Compliance & Process

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and project requirements.
• Ensure purchases are made from approved vendors wherever applicable.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all procurement transactions.
• Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in Road infrastructure, construction, EPC projects
• Experience in procurement of construction/civil/MEP materials is preferred.
• Knowledge of vendor management, commercial negotiation, and purchase processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP/procurement software.
• Good understanding of BOQs, specifications, quotations, comparative statements, and purchase orders.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
