Senior Procurement Engineer

Overview Of The Role:

• The Senior Procurement Engineer is responsible for coordinating category plans, process efficiency, and sourcing initiatives across Al Futtaim Group Business Units. The role involves managing an annual spend of EGP 500 million, executing category sourcing strategies, and developing selection criteria for supplier approval. Additionally, the Senior Procurement Engineer leads supplier negotiations, manages contracts, and ensures process improvements in procurement to enhance business partnerships.

What You Will Do:

Sourcing and Supplier Management

• Execute category sourcing strategies including RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.
• Develop and document bid events through supplier correspondence.
• Create and maintain a list of vendors, including their qualifications and delivery times.
• Develop selection criteria and drive supplier selection and approval processes.
• Conduct supplier negotiations and manage ongoing supplier relationships.
• Implement supplier risk analysis and negotiation strategies.

Contract and Process Management

• Manage contract negotiations, pre-negotiated terms, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure business process efficiency and process improvement in line with Procurement strategy.
• Establish effective internal customer relationship management.
• Timely generation and updating of management reports.
• Maintain professional communication with team and business peers.
• Work collaboratively with team members and procurement manager to complete duties.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Proficiency in e-sourcing platforms and procurement software.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement processes and strategies.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Procurement or Finance Certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, especially in soft and hard facility services.
• Proficiency in procurement software and e-auction tools, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa.
• Experience with data-driven sourcing, spend analytics, online RFx events, and digital supplier onboarding.
