Senior Procurement Engineer

Qualifications & Requirements

• Graduated from university engineering departments, preferably Mechanical Engineering,
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement operations,
• Preferably with advanced English proficiency,
• Experienced in purchasing technical materials, semi-finished goods, especially machined and welded components,
• High cultural awareness with the ability to analyze markets for procurement,
• Strong legal knowledge and experience in international contracts and specifications,
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills,
• High financial literacy and solid understanding of basic financial concepts,
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills; able to work systematically,
• Competent in reporting and analysis,
• Strong representation skills and professional appearance,
• Proficient in MS Office programs,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Istanbul (Asian side) or Kocaeli,
• For male candidates, military service must be completed.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Managing all procurement processes of the assigned projects,
• Managing existing supplier relationships,
• Conducting supplier development activities,
• Monitoring the global market and defining procurement strategies,
• Overseeing all purchasing lifecycles for assigned projects from initial technical requirement analysis and budgeting to final delivery, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
• Managing existing supplier accounts, evaluating vendor performance KPIs, and conducting systematic supplier development activities to optimize cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
• Monitoring global commodity and component markets, identifying alternative sourcing routes, and establishing robust, project-oriented supplier networks.
• Supporting the continuous development of the supply chain infrastructure in close coordination with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams.
• Periodically tracking, analyzing, and reporting all procurement metrics, budget variances, and operational activities to executive management.
