Senior Procurement Executive

WOOFU AUTO Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of a leading Chinese environmental catalyst manufacturer, is establishing its first overseas production base in Malaysia. As a start-up entity, we are seeking a proactive Procurement Supervisor to join our core setup team and build the local supply chain from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Setup: Assist in establishing the local procurement framework, including supplier selection, evaluation, and contract management.
• Purchasing Execution: Manage the procurement of raw materials, laboratory supplies, and equipment components in line with production requirements.
• Local Sourcing: Identify and develop reliable local suppliers for both direct materials and indirect goods/services to reduce import dependency.
• Cost Control: Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to ensure competitive costs.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and Malaysia’s relevant trade and customs regulations. Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: 1-2 years of working experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field. Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with local suppliers, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Experience with ERP or purchasing systems is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of working in a fast-paced start-up environment.
