This is more than just raising POs — you will be involved in strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimisation, material planning and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering and other key departments.

🎯 What You'll Be Responsible For

📦 Procurement & Purchasing

• Plan, verify and issue Purchase Orders (POs) for raw materials based on approved Purchase Requisitions (PRs).
• Ensure materials are sourced according to required specifications, quantities, pricing and delivery timelines.
• Manage end-to-end procurement for indirect purchases, including MRO items, factory consumables, IT equipment, CAPEX and facility-related services.
• Monitor open POs and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted operations.
• Work closely with Production to identify and resolve material shortages and minimise the risk of production disruption.
• Maintain accurate PO, pricing and supplier information in the SAP system.

🤝 Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers for technical components, materials and external services.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, responsiveness and commercial competitiveness.
• Provide recommendations to management on supplier selection, consolidation and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with Engineering and suppliers to resolve material quality issues and identify suitable alternative components where required.
• Support sourcing strategies that strengthen supply continuity and reduce procurement risks.

💰 Cost Optimisation & Negotiation

• Lead price and commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable payment terms.
• Review supplier quotations, pricing trends and purchasing requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyse order quantities, transportation and freight costs and recommend practical ways to optimise total purchasing costs.
• Drive and support cost-down initiatives and continuous procurement improvements.

🔎 What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is not just experienced in purchasing, but who understands how procurement directly impacts production, cost, quality and business continuity.

You may be a great fit if you have:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Technology Management or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with proven purchasing/procurement experience in the manufacturing, production, electrical or electronics industry are highly preferred and will be given priority, particularly those with hands-on experience supporting production operations.
• Hands-on experience managing both direct materials/components and indirect procurement.
• Good understanding of supplier management, purchasing processes and procurement practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements will be an advantage.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Good commercial awareness, with the ability to balance cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• A proactive, organised and collaborative approach to work.
