Senior Procurement Executive (Engineering/ Materials)

Duration: 1-year renewable contract + completion bonus

Working day: 5 days (8am-5pm)

Location: Woodlands

Key responsibilities

• Lead and participate in relevant meetings (such as Production Meeting) with assigned project
• Manage contract manufacturing including direct materials purchasing
• Work closely with the planning team and project manager to address day-to-day critical shortages in production
• Ensure information is cascaded down to the team for project assigned
• Ensure on-time delivery per production needs
• Proactively manage relevant parties to meet plans to support production needs and customer demands
• Ensure continuity in production transfers as needed
• Review work methods for continuous process improvement
• Expedite and resolve material supply gaps
• Manage PO creation, issuance, confirmation, re-scheduling and cancellations; track and ensure OTD performance; resolve issues on vendor invoices and problematic goods receipts

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or supply chain related field
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or materials handling within related industry
• Experience in SAP system and proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and negotiation skills
• Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Ability to travel under requirements
• Knowledge of materials flow concepts and good technical knowledge
• Able to work independently towards achieving company/group objectives
