THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading international manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for innovation, engineering excellence and product development. With products sold worldwide and a significant investment in research and development, they continue to develop cutting-edge solutions for domestic and commercial markets.

As part of their ongoing investment in new product development, they are seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join their engineering team in Louth.

THE ROLE:

This is a key position within the product development team, responsible for leading the design, development and improvement of innovative products from concept through to manufacture.

Working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality and commercial teams, the successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering high-quality products while driving continuous innovation and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading product development projects from concept through to production

Developing innovative engineering solutions to meet customer and market requirements

Supporting product design, testing, validation and continuous improvement activities

Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches

Conducting design reviews, risk assessments and technical evaluations

Producing and reviewing engineering documentation and specifications

Supporting prototype development and testing programmes

Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout development cycles

Identifying opportunities for product improvement, cost reduction and enhanced performance

Ensuring products meet relevant regulatory, quality and safety standards

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within product development, mechanical engineering, design engineering, manufacturing engineering or R&D environments. Experience developing consumer products, electrical products or engineered solutions would be particularly advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have:

Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline

Proven experience within product development or design engineering

Experience taking products through the full development lifecycle

Strong problem-solving and technical analysis skills

Experience working within a manufacturing environment

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong project management and organisational abilities

Experience with CAD systems and product development tools

A passion for innovation and continuous improvement

THE PACKAGE:

Base Salary: €65,000 €85,000 DOE
