Senior Product Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Product Engineer to join our Advanced Development team, focused on the development of seat structure systems for light vehicles .

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in automotive manufacturing environments, particularly in companies producing metal seat frames and seat structures for passenger vehicles, working closely with OEMs and cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and engineering activities for automotive seat structure products from concept to production launch.
• Coordinate product design reviews, engineering changes, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Interface directly with customers (OEMs) and internal departments, including Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Analyze product specifications, customer requirements, and engineering standards.
• Support APQP activities, DFMEA, Design Reviews, and Product Validation processes.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and automotive industry standards (security product).
• Manage prototype development, testing activities, and product validation plans.
• Participate in cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support during launch phases and serial production.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams and customers in English.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Engineer in the automotive industry.
• Proven experience in companies manufacturing seat structures, seat frames, recliners, tracks, or seating systems for light vehicles .
• Strong knowledge of automotive product development processes.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, GD&T, Engineering Change Management, and validation testing.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes involving metal stamping, welding, and assembly.
• Fluent English (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in CAD systems and engineering documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work on-site in the city of Atibaia, SP.
