Senior Product Engineer

I. Primary Function:

1. Develop a program and implement actions that are geared towards the improvement of the product performance to optimize yield and efficiency.

2. Provide support to the product and process engineering for failure analysis, process and yield improvements.

3. Plans, directs, coordinates and control activities relative to Engineering to ensure highest quality andreliability regarding the process, the product and the equipment.

II. Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Reviews machine and equipment performance and conducts root cause analysis of major or recurringfailures. He conceptualizes; design and implement needed fixes and modification of equipment.

2. Implementation of plans and programs for engineers and technician to enhance their skills and knowledgeon technical works and theories.

3. Interface with customers to resolve problem and product issues.

4. Designate the duties and responsibilities of its personnel.

5. Update the Executive Engineer and the Department Head on any issues that may rise in the production lineand other department issues.

6. Supervised Engineers and Technicians.

7. Manage the project during development and implementation phase

8. Make recommendations and assist in the design for manufacturability.

9. Prepare and implement product changes of notices as needed to assure consistently quality, continuousimprovement and continuous innovation.

10. Designs, reviews and implement product specification. Liaise with customer in understanding on product’srequirement and responsible in disseminating said information to the internal organization.

11. Focal person in 8D generations. Conducts failure analysis on failed parts and coordinatescorrective/preventive action with the engineering group.

12. Assist the Test Engineer in determination of test system failure and upgrade by understanding Test-Productrelationship.

13. Supervise a team for technical support and engineering personnel in the attainment of the group’s overallobjectives.

14. Writes technical report and correspondence to effectively document and archive the product’s history.
