Senior Product Manager- Workday Payroll

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager- Workday Payroll to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.

This role will shape payroll technology strategy within a complex enterprise environment, translating business needs and user insights into actionable product direction. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize the backlog, refine hypotheses, and improve the employee and operational experience. The position calls for strong product leadership, disciplined execution, and a deep understanding of payroll compliance in support of scalable technology outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision for the payroll technology ecosystem
• Translate user needs and business goals into actionable product strategies
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog for optimal value delivery
• Formulate and refine product hypotheses through user research
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve impediments
• Drive daily product decisions that enhance user experience
• Monitor the competitive landscape to ensure best-in-class product offerings

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of product management experience with enterprise HRIS
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in agile methodologies and modern software development practices
• Ability to create clear product roadmaps and requirement documents
• Experience conducting user research and competitive analysis in HR technology
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
• Experience mentoring junior product team members
