Senior Production Engineer

Love solving production problems, improving how things get made and leading a team on the floor? This is a role where you'll make a visible difference from day one.

We're looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join our Precast and Reinforcing team in Pokeno. You'll be the technical lead on site, running production day to day, sorting out the complex issues and making our processes safer, faster and smarter. You'll own projects from concept to completion and work alongside Sales, Quality, Site Supervisors and Team Leaders to keep everything running at its best.

What you'll be doing

• Leading daily production and making sure drawings, materials, moulds and resources are ready to go
• Being the go-to expert for complex production and technical problems
• Driving quality, from inspection and test plans to NCRs, and cutting rejects, rework and waste
• Coaching and developing your team and setting the standard for safety and performance
• Leading continuous improvement across production, QA/QC systems and reporting
• Managing planning, costs and workcentre capacity to get the most out of people and machines

What you'll bring

• A Civil or Construction Engineering degree (or equivalent)
• 3-5+ years in a precast or manufacturing production environment
• Strong technical knowledge of precast and the confidence to hold your own in detailed engineering discussions
• A methodical, solutions-focused approach with a track record in continuous improvement
• Leadership skills: you coach, motivate and bring out the best in people
• Solid report writing and MS Office skills
