Senior Production Manager

Job Summary

To oversee manufacturing operations, drive production excellence, and enhance overall plant performance. This role requires a strong blend of engineering and production expertise, with the ability to lead a sizeable workforce, optimize manufacturing processes, and support operational growth while meeting quality, productivity, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets, operational KPIs, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of operational procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and operational consistency.
• Oversee production planning, manpower deployment, equipment utilization, and manufacturing yield to maximize operational efficiency.
• Lead manufacturing expansion initiatives, including production line development, equipment implementation, capacity enhancement, and process optimization.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, minimize waste, and strengthen overall production performance.
• Establish operational timelines, resource requirements, cost estimates, and work standards for new initiatives and ongoing manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve operational challenges and ensure smooth business operations.
• Lead, develop, and motivate production teams and subordinate managers, fostering accountability, teamwork, and a performance-driven culture.
• Monitor employee performance, identify capability gaps, and implement appropriate training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management systems, workplace safety requirements, and applicable operational standards.
• Analyze production performance and operational issues, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable improvements.
• Undertake additional operational projects and assignments as required by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of 5 years in a Production Manager or equivalent senior manufacturing leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale production operations and a sizeable workforce.
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing engineering and production processes, with proven capability in production line design, setup, commissioning, and optimization.
• Experience in solar, data storage, electronics, or other advanced manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 and practical quality management system implementation.
• Strong leadership, workforce planning, production management, and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate operational matters clearly and confidently.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, solve complex operational problems, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• A proactive and results-oriented leader with strong ownership, initiative, discipline, and the ability to work independently.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and flexible in responding to changing production priorities and urgent customer requirements.
