Senior Production Technician

• Plan the weekly and daily production schedule for all FDM and SLA printers, and set job priorities when rush event work comes in.
• Assign and arrange work for the technicians and assistant, set daily targets, review their work and arrange training.
• Write and maintain the SOPs, work instructions and safety rules for printing, scanning and post-processing, and make sure the team follows them.
• Plan preventive maintenance for the fleet, track machine downtime, and handle major faults with vendors.
• Review scan data and print files for large or high-value jobs, and approve how sculptures are split and joined before printing starts.
• Own final QC sign-off: set the inspection standards, decide whether a part ships, gets fixed or is reprinted, and track scrap and rework.
• Manage inventory and purchasing of filament, resin and spare parts: set reorder levels, raise purchase requests and compare suppliers.
• Coordinate with the design team, project managers and the post-processing team on feasibility, lead times and handovers before jobs are confirmed.
• Provide job status, capacity and production reports to the founder and project managers promptly when asked.
• Find and carry out ways to cut print failures, material waste and lead times.

Requirements
Required

• 3+ years hands-on in a 3D printing, prototyping or model-making workshop.

Nice to have

• Large-format FDM experience (build volumes of 1 m or more), or sculpture and prop work.
• Experience with 3D scanners and scan-to-mesh software.
• Mesh and CAD tools such as Blender, ZBrush, Meshmixer, Fusion 360 or Netfabb.
• Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin for working with the team and clients.
• Has set up a maintenance log, production tracker or QC checklist from scratch.
• A diploma or degree in mechanical, manufacturing or product design. Equivalent workshop experience counts just as much.
• Has operated FDM and SLA printers in a production setting, not only as a hobby.
• Has supervised, trained or led at least one technician or operator.
• Has planned job schedules, or managed stock and purchasing, for a workshop or production line.
• Has done first-line printer repairs: hotends, belts, bed levelling, resin tanks or similar.
• Can work on-site in Shah Alam: Monday to Friday 9:30am–6:30pm and Saturday 9:30am–12:00pm.
• Can read and write job sheets, checklists and SOPs in English.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
