What they need
Senior Program Manager - NHS Technology
Location: Milton Keynes / Hybrid
Salary: £70,000–£95,000 depending on experience
Company: Flexzo AI
About Flexzo AI:
Flexzo AI is building the next generation of workforce technology for healthcare.
We work with healthcare organisations to improve how they plan, deploy and manage their workforce, combining modern workforce management technology with AI to help organisations make better operational decisions.
As we expand our work across the NHS, we are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead the implementation of major technology programmes across NHS organisations.
The Role:
This is a senior delivery role responsible for taking complex technology deployments from contract signature through implementation, go-live and adoption.
You will work directly with NHS executive teams, workforce leaders, operational teams, clinical stakeholders, digital teams and our internal product and implementation teams.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously deployed rostering, workforce management or scheduling technology into large NHS Acute or Mental Health Trusts .
This is not a generic project management position. We are looking for someone who understands how NHS organisations operate, knows how to navigate complex stakeholder environments and has successfully delivered technology into live NHS settings.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
You will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of major Flexzo AI implementations across NHS organisations.
- Build and manage detailed programme plans covering implementation, configuration, integration, data migration, testing, training, deployment and adoption.
- Act as the senior programme contact for NHS customers throughout implementation.
- Work closely with Trust executives, programme teams, workforce teams, clinical leaders, HR, IT, Digital and Finance stakeholders.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams across Flexzo AI product, engineering, implementation and customer teams.
- Establish programme governance including steering groups, RAID logs, milestones, dependencies and reporting.
- Identify delivery risks early and drive them through to resolution.
- Manage complex organisational change associated with the introduction of new workforce technology.
- Ensure implementations move successfully from pilot or initial deployment into operational adoption.
- Develop repeatable implementation methodologies as Flexzo AI expands across the NHS.
- Support customers through go-live and post-implementation optimisation.
- Provide senior leadership with clear visibility of programme progress, risks and required decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential
You will have:
- Extensive experience working with or within the NHS.
- A strong track record of delivering technology programmes into NHS organisations.
- Experience managing large and complex digital or workforce transformation programmes.
- Experience working with senior NHS stakeholders across operational, clinical, workforce and digital functions.
- Excellent programme governance and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams, dependencies and delivery partners.
- The ability to operate comfortably in complex environments where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong commercial awareness alongside excellent delivery discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly Desirable
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Implemented e-rostering, scheduling, workforce management or staff bank technology within the NHS.
- Led deployments across large Acute Trusts, Mental Health Trusts or multi-site NHS organisations .
- Experience with workforce platforms such as Allocate/HealthRoster, Patchwork, RLDatix or similar NHS workforce technologies.
- Experience delivering Trust-wide or enterprise-scale implementations rather than small departmental projects.
- Experience managing integrations with NHS systems such as ESR and other workforce, finance, HR or clinical systems.
- Experience leading adoption and organisational change across large clinical workforces.
The Person:
You are likely to be someone who has spent a significant part of your career delivering technology within the NHS and understands that successful implementation is about far more than installing software.
You understand NHS governance, stakeholder complexity and the operational realities of implementing technology into busy healthcare environments.
You can build credibility with a Chief People Officer or CIO while also working effectively with programme managers, rostering teams, clinicians, HR teams and frontline operational staff.
Most importantly, you know how to get complex NHS technology programmes live and adopted.
Why Flexzo AI?
Flexzo AI is growing rapidly and working on some of the biggest challenges facing healthcare organisations today.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Lead major NHS technology deployments.
- Work directly with senior NHS leaders.
- Help shape how Flexzo AI implements technology as we scale.
- Work with a fast-moving product and engineering organisation.
- Influence the development of new AI-powered healthcare workforce technology.
- Take significant ownership over programmes rather than simply managing a small part of a large corporate implementation.
Salary & Working Arrangements:
Salary: £70,000–£95,000 depending on experience.
Bonus Equity: All of our staff win when the company wins, this position comes with equity options.
We operate a hybrid working model and our UK office is based in Milton Keynes.
The role will require travel to NHS customer sites when necessary, particularly during key stages of implementation and go-live.
Apply:
If you have significant NHS programme delivery experience and have successfully deployed workforce, rostering, scheduling or other enterprise technology into NHS organisations, we would like to hear from you.
