Senior Programme Delivery Manager - European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS)

Lead the digital transformation of Britain's railway.

Greater Thameslink Railway (GTR) is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of critical ERTMS and European Train Control System (ETCS) programmes, supporting the East Coast Digital Programme and future digital railway initiatives.

This is a high-profile leadership role at the forefront of rail innovation, where you'll drive complex programmes, influence industry-wide change, and help shape the future of train operations across the UK.

What You'll Do

• Lead the delivery of major digital railway, rolling stock and asset renewal programmes.
• Drive programme governance, risk management, financial performance and stakeholder engagement.
• Embed transformational change, ensuring new systems transition successfully into business-as-usual operations.
• Build strong relationships across GTR, Network Rail, industry partners, regulators and Trade Unions.
• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver against strategic business objectives.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, rolling stock, signalling or digital transformation programmes.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior and executive level.
• Experience managing programme budgets, governance and complex industry interfaces.
• A track record of driving change and continuous improvement in operational or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of ERTMS/ETCS and railway operations is desirable.
• Knowledge of Rolling stock asset management and maintenance practices desirable.
