The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, functional analysts, business partners, vendors, and regional government partners supporting PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, and related enterprise systems.

We are looking for someone who can do more than develop to a specification. The Senior Programmer & Systems Analyst is expected to analyze business needs, identify technical options and risks, recommend solutions, and carry complex work through development, testing, implementation, and production support.

  • Independently diagnose and resolve complex production issues across PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, integrations, and related applications.
  • Perform root-cause analysis using application logs, tracing, SQL analysis, process monitoring, and other diagnostic tools.

  • Identify recurring issues and develop sustainable solutions rather than short-term workarounds.

Integrations

  • Design, develop, support, and troubleshoot interfaces between PeopleSoft and internal or external systems.
  • Evaluate appropriate integration approaches based on business requirements, security, reliability, performance, monitoring, and maintainability.
  • Build appropriate error handling, logging, recovery, and support processes into integrations.

Upgrades, PUM & Application Maintenance

  • Participate in and provide technical leadership for PeopleSoft patches, PUM cycles, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Evaluate changes to delivered and customized objects and determine appropriate retrofit, redesign, or replacement strategies.
  • Review release documentation and compare reports and coordinate technical and functional testing.
  • Help reduce unnecessary customization and preserve supported upgrade paths.

Performance, Quality & Security

  • Analyze and improve SQL, application, batch-processing, and integration performance.
  • Apply secure development practices and appropriate application and database controls.
  • Develop and execute technical test plans for enhancements, integrations, fixes, patches, and upgrades.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and development standards.

Senior-Level Technical Partnership

  • Translate complex technical concepts for functional and business partners.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
  • Provide technical guidance and contribute to standards, architecture, and team knowledge.
