Senior Programmer/Planner

We are partnered with one of NZ leading main contractors to find them a Senior Programmer/Planner who does more than operate planning software, someone who genuinely understands construction methodologies, sequencing, and programme logic, and can challenge, develop, and improve programmes from a construction perspective, not just maintain them.

If you've spent 15 to 20+ years in construction, ideally with time as a Project Manager or in a senior site-based role, and want a position where your programme thinking directly shapes tender outcomes and project delivery, this is it.

What you'll be doing:

• Building robust, realistic construction programmes that win tenders and set projects up to succeed
• Applying advanced planning and scheduling expertise, including double-linking, to develop strong critical path programmes
• Working closely with project teams from tender through to handover, on methodology, resourcing, sequencing, and risk
• Assessing delay risk and mitigation strategies, and driving continuous improvement across the business

What you'll bring:

• 15 to 20+ years in construction, with practical Project Management or senior site-based experience
• Advanced scheduling expertise with double-linking programme software; CCS Candy experience highly desirable
• Experience on large, complex construction projects
• International experience (South Africa or the Middle East highly regarded) is an advantage
• LBP status, trade or degree quals (or equivalent experience) well regarded
