Senior Project Developer

Ready to build a new business area from the ground up? As a Senior Project Developer, you will take full responsibility for the development phase of our biogas projects in Romania.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Developer to join our development team in Bucharest, Romania.

Your role

As a Senior Project Developer, you’ll take full responsibility for the development phase of our biogas projects in Romania – a business area we expect to expand with Power-to-X over time, as the technology matures. You’ll be based at our development office in Bucharest and work closely with municipalities, authorities and local farmers.

Along the way, you’ll have close support from our biogas competence center at our head office in Denmark, which will give you the technical depth in biogas you need.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the development phase for biogas projects from idea to approved project
• Engage in dialogue and negotiation with municipalities on permits, local plans and regulatory matters
• Prepare and submit applications and other necessary documentation to the authorities
• Screen and assess biomass resources in the relevant project areas
• Build and maintain relationships with local farmers
• Enter into letters of intent and contracts with farmers on biomass supply
• Collaborate closely with internal and external partners across engineering, legal and finance

Required competencies and skills

We expect that you

• Are a senior profile with proven experience in project development, ideally within energy
• Have drive and a genuine desire to build something from the ground up
• Can engage professionally and build trust with municipalities, authorities and farmers
• Are independent, structured and thrive on proactive relationship-building
• Speak fluent English
• Are eager to learn and understand how we work with biogas
